Interactive : Philadelphia Hardware Group
Philadelphia Hardware Group, Inc. (PHG), a nationwide B2B business selling locks, hinges, bath accessories and trim hardware needed a complete remodel of its website. PHG’s current identity was considered in the redesign along with its quality assurance and customer service standards, distribution methods, and its continued expansion into other areas of the building and construction industries.
Kicking off phase one of the site redevelopment we teamed up with PHG’s marketing manager Kikki McCullough to identify the functional aspects and user experience required to meet our objectives. We thoroughly examined PHG’s visual identity system and identified areas that needed improvement prior to migrating the brand to the web. This included establishing logo usage guidelines, solidifying color palettes for cross media usage, and providing an overall visual update.
Moving forward with the website encompus conceived and executed a comprehensive design that delivered on both the functional requirements of the brand and the need for visual consistency. The design structure allows for easy access to PHG’s online catalog (which contains six growing product lines with 300+ products) for an above and beyond user experience. All this was backed by a custom administration database to manage the continued growth of PHG’s product lines.
